Message: I got my Tennessee today. Just went through the entire CD twiceand how ever high my expectations were, they were "lapped".
This is flippin magnificent. No ok, good, or great, spectacular, masmagnifico. I'm afraid to touch my CD because of the heat come out of itfrom that energy, love, happiness and pure joy inside of it.
Every piece of this CD is incredible from the musicianship, the band andthe great production.
Alvin was truly never better than he sounded on Tennessee, and theenthusiasm in his playing and his voice.
I felt that Alvin took an genre, that he loves and put his magic touch onit and made the genre a little bit wider than it ever was before.
He mastering of the art form he was playing was incredible, but Alvin didit "his" way, adding his heart and soul, style and energy to it. Inspired, fantastic.
What a band to play with, sounds like they have played all their livestoghether. Just perfect together, NO BULLS&^$. This mother is ABOUT THEMUSIC.
I do have to say that the band was flippin incredible, but WilliePritchard on piano, he and Alvin sounded like "peanut and butter", "milkand cookies". Fantastic.
If Alvin ever did not publish that version of "Goin Home", he should havebeen arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.
For now, the best CD of the century.
Could there be a better time for this CD to come out ?
