The Savannah scene has produced so many great bands you'd be excused for thinking that sludge is in the water there, but there's no excuse for overlooking BLACK TUSK. Comparisons of 'Taste The Sin' to bands BLACK TUSK considers brothers only tell part of the tale; the band's sophomore release and first for Relapse Records rips into you with locomotive riffing and powerful ... Metal 26 July 2013

This band plays one of my favorite types of music. Very heavy, fast paced and full of the best extracted portions of rock and roll mixed with the dedication of metal. Apparently it's called 'Savanah metal' because of other bands being from Georgia as well as Blacktusk, but whatever it is, it's pretty swell.

This album is that comfortable style of heavy metal that has huge riffs, a constant beat that gets your head bobbing and a good driving sound that you don't want to stop. Although a short album, it's as good as it's predecessors without abandoning that distinct driving heaviness. This album is a bit more instrumental but when the rocking is this good, it doesn't matter what the lyrics are about.

Honestly if you're this far in and can't make up your mind, stop it. Why are you still questioning it? I just told you it's a great album. Buy the album already, and move on with your life.

Side note: If you get the chance to see this three piece live, don't miss it. They came to Minneapolis, Minnesota recently and had as much fun on stage and with the crowd that there is no excuse to miss them live again, considering they're now armed with another great album.
