Product Description

Britain has been a member of the EU for a third of a century, enduring all the waste, fraud and red tape that Brussels could imagine. But what would it be like if one day Britain just said Enough ? Ten Years on takes us to a world where it has done just that.

1.0 out of 5 stars Short and disappointingly less than useful 20 Dec 2009
Format:Paperback
Only giving this one star as you can't give it nought. I got this for free and it wasn't worth the money. If you agree with what the book is about then I can't see it adding to your knowldege - if you don't then it is not really likely to change your mind. It quotes figures which may or may not be correct but I would liked to have seen sources referenced. At just over 100 pages it barely qualifies to be a book more of a rant. I would like to know more about this importamt issue but this book just does not add to my scant knowledge. I think this may end up in a charity shop very soon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stalinist propaganda 5 Dec 2010
By John
Format:Paperback
The terrible writing style used in this book is frankly irritating. It wouldn't take monkeys with type writers long to produce a work of more merit.

The concept of describing Britain ten years after leaving the EU liberates the author from having to justify any of his rant with facts. It will appeal to anyone who wants to be told what to think, but will mislead those looking for proper insight into the benefits and costs of Britain's membership of the EU. I was hoping for an in-depth examination of whether Britain could survive without the many benefits that EU membership brings, but I'm afraid this is just mindless anti-EU propaganda.

1.0 out of 5 stars Neither fish nor fowl 13 Jun 2010
Format:Paperback
This book is in essence a summary of the main arguments against inclusion within the EU. As such it adds little knowledge to anyone with a passing interest in the subject, except a number of unsubstantiated figures.
However it is written as a vision of Britain in 2020, ten years after leaving the EU. As a work of fiction the writing is woeful, with no meaningful narrative strand, and making reading it a chore.
Avoid.
