Product Description

Product Description

After a triple-platinum debut and platinum follow-up, Disturbed fuses the brutality and darkness of 2000's The Sickness with the added melodic nature and complexity of 2002's Believe for album number three. Aggressive, relentless and intense-yet at the same time transcendent--Ten Thousand Fists is a rock sledgehammer.

CD Description

Michigan metallers who became leading lights of the then fledgling nu-metal scene in 2000 with their debut 'The Sickness' return with their third album. Despite poor press this isa solid effort as they take the epic cheesiness of trad metal and run with it, turning in a set of solid and melodic tunes which celebrate individuality, self expression and freedom from tyranny. Includes the single 'Stricken'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe there best album?, 18 Dec 2006
By Stuart (Ireland) - See all my reviews
Having listened to and bought Disturbed's first two albums I had good hopes for there third album.Based on reviews and how I felt about there previous albums I bought "Ten Thousand Fists" and am not dissapointed at all.
I had not heard much of the album before buying it, apart from 2 songs, but after listening to the album fully, I feel every song is good,at least to me.
There is severeal songs the band could choose to make more music videos of, as they have many satisfying songs to listen to.I thought the song writing on this album was more inteligent or thoughtful than before(not that it should be)after all Music is Art.
Though the song "sons of plunder"
I thought did a nice job of discribing the bullshit of record companies or whoever are the suits behind scenes of the music indutry wanting cash at the expense of anything ,maybe youll understand if you ever listen to the song.Im glad Disturbed dont care for doing what the record companies want.I Beleive the band wants to write Honest music about how they really feel, they did in this case. There are other songs raising real issues in todays society and I think thats why they named there album "Ten Thousand Fists", seemingly the good in society shouting for each others rights against some of our awful politiicans and people in power who shouldnt be.There singning on this album about what will damage society if people dont wake up. At the same Disturbed have been able to produce a very good album.Id recomned this if you like any sort of "Metal"
I imagine most buyers didnt stop listening after the first time.Give it a go if you liked there last albums, you might even like this one more.
Thanks for reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, 23 April 2006
By Maverick_85 (Grantham - England) - See all my reviews
Having only listened to a few tracks from the previous albums, I had heard of and didn't particularly have any gripes with Disturbed. Then I got Need For Speed Most Wanted and heard the track Decadance. On finding out that it was from this album I bought it as soon as I could.

For about 2 months I listened to nothing other than this album. It is for lack of a better word, awesome. Deify (about George Bush) and I'm Alive being my 2 favourite tracks, this album is one of the best in my collection.

Any fans of metal will like this album and even those who prefer softer music will enjoy at least a couple tracks, for example Overburdened which is nothing short of fantastic.

In short, buy this album as it is, as my title suggests, Awesome !

5.0 out of 5 stars Bitchin', 6 May 2007
By J. C. Wright "crimsonjagg" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
After owning the 1st 2 albums, i had high hopes, and my hopes were met. In my opinion this is the best disturbed album out of all of them. Every track is AWSOME, mind blowing riffs, blended with real problems, and stunning vocals to make a jamming and very listenable set of songs. Rock On Freaky Bros!
