The text is poor. It doesn't really capture the imagination in any way. Considering the age group this is aimed at, it's not really very engaging at all. More like a pamphlet than a book.

This book is recommended by the power of reading project and I can see why! Not just a good book to enlighten children about their responsibility towards the planet but a good literacy resource.

HASH(0x8ed1df30) out of 5 stars Timely eco-friendly kids book 5 Oct. 2008
By T Finch - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
I finally found a book for empowering the inner environmentalist at an early age. What's most impressive about this book are the bold and creative illustrations and graphic design.

The message is simply put -- what can kids do to help the environment. From remembering to turn off a light to turning off tap water, planting and recycling, all the tips are easy for the young reader to absorb.

It also makes a great book to buy, read to children and re-gift either for a birthday gift to a friend or library!

HASH(0x8ed20330) out of 5 stars There are better books for learning about saving the earth! 21 July 2010

We purchased this book based on a review in the Fort-Worth Star Telegram for Earth Day and although it is cute and has some helpful tips...there are other books that help teach kids about saving the earth, recycling and reusing. This book seemed to focus on some of the simpler things like turning off lights and we were hoping for more substance!

As part of an Earth Day theme, I got this book for my preschoolers. The illustrations are bright and engaging and the 10 things are easy for the kids to understand and do. It makes them start a conversation about what they can to to help their world.
