Contemporary buildings are major contributors to the environmental crisis. In this book, curator and critic Peter Buchanan uses ten buildings that combine environmental responsibility and design excellence to argue that sustainability is not only good for the planet, but also offers architects new opportunities for creativity and innovation. Generously illustrated with four-colour photographs and plans, the book includes work by international architects including Norman Foster, Renzo Piano, and Herzog Partner.

It is very useful. It has a lot of material about sustainable architecture, founded in real examples. Most of this kind of books are very theorical but not practical.

Lots of pictures, great information and a good layout. The buildings are all itemized by their ten shades of green. Great examples to look at if you are a student or a designer looking to build green.
