Product Description

Product Description

The Director wants her for his film. The Billionaire wants her to want for nothing. The Lord wants to make her his Lady, while the Actor wants her all to himself. And what the Virgin wants - well - she can give him that only once. But who does she want? And where will she find him? Alexandra Gray's wickedly entertaining novel introduces a heroine for the noughties and the ten men she meets on her quest for romantic perfection. From the Virgin to the elusive Mr X, she dares to dally with the men that the rest of us regard with trepidation. But when the Actor has been dumped, and the Lover is left longing, who is it that she really loves? Ten Men lays bare the rules of sex, class and power in the twenty-first-century dating game.

First Sentence
It is one of the wonders of the twenty-first century that a beautiful, brilliant and broad-shouldered man could reach almost forty without someone, somewhere convincing him it was time to drop his guard - or his underpants. Read the first page

Chick Lit With Brains 30 July 2006
By Jonathan Posner VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
You won't be reading this book for the plot but it's what lies beneath that truly captivates - a maturity and sensitivity from Alexandra Gray of a kind that can appeal to men too (and I'm one of those).

One senses a struggle or two in the author's own life somehere along the line making this lovely book seem all the more heartfelt. I was reminded of Tim Lott's 'Love Secrets of Don Juan' - a kind of male version - and the comparison is no less the worse for that. And if the silver cover and alluring photograph of a sultry Ms Gray sends out mixed messages (although for this man a very straightforward one in the case of the photograph), ultimately it's the book's perfectly poised and highly satisfactory ending that belies its chick-lit pretensions. Highly recommended.

Excellent 18 July 2005
By Flossy
Format:Paperback
A really good book, couldn't put it down. The story is well written with an interesting take on the relationships in life, and on finishing it I had to immediately re read it to stave off the 'oh it's finished' feeling. Although it's not a particularly challenging read, and won't win any prizes, it's excellent for the beach. If you like Jenny Colgan, Jane Green et al, try this.
