This grew on me. When I put it on I thought 'what have I got here', as the opening track 'hello boys' is far removed from my expectations. However, it gets better rapidly, throwing in a mixture of poppy stuff and some wonderful acoustic tracks like 'I do'. 'Ten foot high 'would make a great single to follow up 'shame on you', included here as an album track and radio edit.,This is what is all about' is lovely, accompanied only by a guitar, it shows Andrea Corr's beautiful voice to perfection.'Champagne from a straw' is an ironic stab at the vacuous lifestyle of the perma tanned footballers wife.
The only track I did not like was 'take me I'm yours', as I am old enough to remember the Squeeze original, and this version is no improvement on it.It is also the only track not written by Andrea Corr.
But that is a minor quibble. I was hugely impressed by this album, which gets better each time you play it. Recommended to all, even those Corrs fans who (like me) think they peaked with 'talk on corners', and it was all down hill from then on.
