AWESOME! This is my first Brenda Jackson book and if someone can call this one "disappointing", I am SURE I will LOVE the rest of them. The storyline was captivating and the characters so easy to "let in" to your life. I hope that she will continue with these characters as I can surely see how I would like to read more about Zeke, Sheila and little Sunnie.....

It was nice to read some new subject matter from Brenda Jackson. Sheila was a wonderfully written character. She is the type of woman any child would have loved to call her mother. She and Zeke had great chemistry from the first "meeting" at a stop light, and fate sort of brought them together. There was a bit of mystery in this book which was great and I couldn't figure out exactly what the outcome would be which is certainly another plus. Often times when I can figure out the ending way before the end of the book I am bored while reading and this wasn't the case here. While I enjoyed the book there was still a little something missing which is why I'm not rating it higher.

Great Love story, but a little boring

The love story was great. But the plot was a little boring. The Hero and Heroin were pitiful, they had childhood hurts that they used as shields. The love scences left something to be desired (passion). There was just no passion in the book. I was a little disappointed. This is just my opinion I normally love Brenda Jackson's books. Please read it for your self. Not sure if I will re-read it. The only parts I re-read might be when Sheila got Sunnie and the ending.
