5.0 out of 5 stars A very pleasurable read 5 July 2004
By Ladybubbles VINE VOICE
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Cadoc of Wales is amazed when flame haired Fiona MacDougal offers to marry him. Everyone knows that red-haired women are nothing but trouble and he knows to be wary - even of such a beautiful Scottish lass bearing gifts.
The thought of marrying this bold, handsome warrior sends shivers of delight down Fiona's spine. She is in a dilemma if she tells him the true reasons why she wanted to wed him she may never gain this man's trust or love.
This is the first book I have read this author and I immediately went out and got The Maiden and Her Knight. Well worth it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good, despite the 'sheep shearing' lessons! 7 Jan 2006
By Sandra J Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Just call this book 'Sheep Shearing 101' or "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sheep Shearing But Were Afraid To Ask".

This was to me like the smuggling plot was in "Captain Jack's Woman" by Stephanie Laurens -- why do we need to know all these details, when there is a story to be told???

The hero was great, I liked how he ignored the other occupants of the castle's thoughts in regards to his lady-love's looks, or lack thereof. The heroine was a schemer, with the best of intentions, however, she had a secret that nearly destroyed their relationship near the end of the book.

All in all, it was a good book. On the 1-10 scale, I'd give it a

9.6 or so.

4.0 out of 5 stars engaging character study in a historical romantic story 4 April 2002
By Harriet Klausner - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Lord Carodoc of Llanstephan Fawr does not have to look at the near empty hayloft to know his estate is in trouble and wonders when King Richard will take the castle from him for failure to pay taxes, a deed he has not done in months. Though he would prefer to flee from his responsibilities, Carodoc vows to remain and do everything he can to turn the property solvent until His Highness takes it away.

na MacDougal, daughter of a Scottish wool merchant who died two months ago, arrives with a proposition. She will pay off the royal arrears if Carodoc marries her. She says she wants a titled husband with no previous children and he needs her dowry. Reluctantly, Carodoc agrees, but seals the deal with a passionate kiss. As they fall in love both shares in common feelings of inadequacy and they feel undeserving of one other.

The historical romantic story line of TEMPT ME WITH KISSES is more of a character study than the usual action-packed tale. The readers observe first hand the doubts of the lead protagonists as they struggle to make their relationship succeed even as Carodoc and Fiona are weighed down by personal baggage that threatens to destroy their marriage. Fans who relish an insightful look at the primary couple will enjoy Margaret Moore's marvelous romantic narrative, but readers who need plenty of action should look elsewhere.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tempt Me With Kisses 18 Mar 2013
By Lily - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The first chapter of the novel held my interest but it went sharply down hill afterwards. Caradoc, lord of Llanstephan, is in dire financial need to save and restore Llanstephan. Fiona McDougal shows up at Llanstephan with wagons loaded with goods and offers herself and her wealth to Caradoc. She requests marriage and a title from Caradoc. She had been in love with Caradoc since seeing him as a child years ago. She is also running from a former betrothed who wants her wealth and to whom she has given her virginity already. There is opposition to the marriage from several of Caradoc's household, including his sister, but Caradoc goes ahead with the marriage because he does not want to lose Llanstephan. The remainder of the book is mediocre to boring.

If you like Scottish romances this is right on track.
Held my interest from begining to end. Would read more by Moore.
Amazon is good about suggesting books they think I might like and for the most part are right on.
