Product Description

The hilariously funny story of Heathrow (affectionately named after London's airport) whose TOTALLY EMBARRASSING parents will do anything to be on TV, even if it involves rice pudding or a racing car or a rhinoceros! But in the end it's Heathrow's quick thinking that makes the news headlines!

Laugh your socks off with this highly silly story specially for Pocket Money Puffins.

About the Author

Jeremy Strong once worked in a bakery, putting the jam into three thousand doughnuts every night. Now he puts the jam in stories instead, which he finds much more exciting. At the age of three, he fell out of a first-floor bedroom window and landed on his head. His mother says that this damaged him for the rest of his life and refuses to take any responsibility. He loves writing stories because he says it is 'the only time you alone have complete control and can make anything happen'. His ambition is to make you laugh (or at least snuffle). Jeremy Strong lives near Bath with his wife, Gillie, four cats and a flying cow.

story time laughs 24 Jan 2011
By Annie
Format:Paperback
This is a welcome addition in the Jeremy Strong Library, it features a rather dyfunction pair of parents whose sole quest is fame, this is told through the eyes of their son and the humiliation that there schemes cause him. They even called him Heathrow. This book is humorous for children, and as an adult you will find you are reading along with a smile. For those familar with Jeremy Strong I did not take to this as much as the books featuring Nicholas and his family but nethertheless it was amusing enough and I am sure if the family make a reappearance they will be more than welcome in our house. I love the schemes to become famous and they parady nicely those who have this as there sole quest in life. More like this please Mr Strong.

Good but too short 16 Feb 2011
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com

I like this book because it has lots of funny and crazy ideas but in my opinion it's a bit too short! Usually Jeremy Strong's books are long and exciting and I don't see why this book has to be any different!
