I haven't used this item with my special ed students yet, because I ordered the product in preparation for the next scholastic year.
I selected this clock to teach the time because the colour coding will support each student in a visual mode to learn both the analogue and digital clock, and the student can link these together and so understand both systems better. It is also a manipulative device so students who have difficulty to write down answers will be using the magnetic pieces they select to show the time. The green and yellow colour coding will help them with the past/to, the hour and minute hand are labelled, and the red border helps students with the counting of minutes past/to, o'clock and half past.
What I don't like is that the clock is too flat and so the magnetic pieces may pose difficulties for students with physical difficulties.
