Often overlooked in favour of his more popu;ar work tell the truth nevertheless is a fine showcase for his awesome voice and eclectic songwriting abilities.The rest of the band also shine Steve Cropper on guitar is at his very best. Booker T on organ is quite sensational. If you want to witness Otis Reddings' true talent buy this album.

this album is my favourite piece of recorded music. i have a very wide taste and listen to a lot of music but this is still i believe the best thing ever recorded. the raw emotion and power of these songs is evident for all to hear, it makes me think of people and humanity in general and shows what can be achieved. simply and purely god given genius. changed my life.
