5.0 out of 5 stars What more could you ask for?! 14 Feb 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
This album is posibly one of the best Screeching Weasel have produced. With lyrical content on Girls, Beer and Fun, this the ultimate punk anthem! SW were at their best to produce this, but then again when aren't they, if you enjoy the rest of their material, you'll love this one, and if you don't any Screeching Weasel, why don't you own any, this album will convince you to but the entire back catalogue!!

5.0 out of 5 stars a great record 27 May 2008

TELEVISION CITY DREAM is one of Screeching Weasel's later records, and most fans will tell you that the earlier albums were much better. Those albums weren't better, they were just different. TELEVISION CITY DREAM is just as great as those albums, but has more fast, punky songs. And trust me, those songs (e.g. "Count To Three", "We Are Generation X") are great. But there are also some slower, more pop-punk songs on the album as well -- check out "Outside Of You" and the finale, "Burn Down." For this reason, TELEVISION CITY DREAM is perhaps Screeching Weasel's most varied album, and a must-buy for any punk fan. On the downside, for some reason the sound mix leaves out the bottom of the bass, so you'll have to crank up the bass when you listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can I Get A Hell Yeah? 4 July 1999

Man, how can you not like an album that draws inspiration from Wrestling and Mystery Science Theather 3000? The cd is really infectious, it gets in your head and builds a home in there! It has carved a place in my brain, and I will not get it removed. Can't say anything bad about it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Television City Dreams (Audio CD) 25 Feb 2011

I would also agree that the old screeching weasel sound is better. This is a re-recording of the first Television City Dreams album released in 1998 on the label Fat Wreck Chords. In my opinion the old recording is better, more energy and louder (the drums at least). The new songs included on this album are good, not great, but not mediocre either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Weasel album in my collection 16 Jan 2008
By Robert Ontiveros - Published on
Format:Audio CD
I've owned this album for many years now, and it still bites just as hard as the day it was released. I love all of SW's albums, but this one is definitely my favorite. I love the faster punk, and Television City Dream delivers it in spades. Songs like 'Count to three', 'Plastic Bag', 'Only A Test', and 'Pervert At Large' still, after nearly ten years, get my blood pumping, and make me want to throw myself in the air.
Great record, classic, get it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Screeching Weasel adopts a FAT records sound 25 Nov 1999
By A Customer - Published on
Format:Audio CD
Dont get me wrong, theres some decent stuff on this CD. But it isnt like their best stuff (Anthem For A New Tomorrow, for example). It is definiutley a CD with a distinct FAT-wreck chords sound to it. THey can do better.
