Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Join Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La La and Po as they provide 59 minutes of educational fun for one to three year olds in Teletubbies: Hide and Seek.

Set against the unique, now-familiar backdrop of Teletubbyland with its futuristic dome-home, rolling hills, pretend flowers, real rabbits and giggling baby-faced sun, the loveable Teletubbies have much to discover: the joys of hiding and looking for each other; laughter when some tubby toast goes missing; and the magic of the wall that appears and disappears. Three video clips (transmitted, of course, on tubby tummies) include real children playing hide-and-seek outside, hunting for eggs on a farm and discovering a chameleon under a leaf.

The BBC Teletubby episodes have had phenomenal success since 1997 and one of the reasons for this is that through repetition the Teletubbies give babies and toddlers the power to anticipate what happens next. By gaining confidence in their predictions, youngsters actively participate and this was demonstrated by a normally quiet two-year-old reviewer who was soon laughing, clapping and even running up to the television and shouting "there, there" to Dipsy as he searched for Po. Repetition also helps the very young to learn, and the wall sketch effectively teaches the difference between the words "behind", "in front" and "around". In contrast, surprise actions create humour and the toast incident leads to several minutes of infectious giggling. Children as young as three months love to play "peek-a-boo"--the universal appeal of "hide-and-seek" combined with the much-loved Teletubbies will guarantee frequent and happy viewing among the under-threes. --Tracey Hogan

So much fun!! 25 Nov 2003
I think that all young kids should love this. Both my kids a 1 year old and a 3 year old, keep watching it again and again. Babies and toddlers love to hide and seek things, love to be discovered when they are hiding and like the fact to anticipate what is going to happen next. The tubbies keep hiding and missing and the others have to find them. My children keep shouting: she is there, there........
