Five years since the brilliant "Loaded & Empty", Jerry Kilgore finally gets round to putting out a new album ..... and it was well worth the wait!! It was released a couple of days before his recent UK dates with Johnny Rodriquez and featured heavily in his set.

Great album, all 13 tracks either written or co-written by Kilgore and part produced/engineered by Paul Martin from Marty Stuart's Fabulous Superlatives. Very traditional sounding in places, with some great honky-tonk tracks, and a couple of moody slowies, including a great first single "Places To Go" which disappeared without trace! This will probably be one of the best releases this year for me.

Lots to enjoy but I think one is my favourite (at the moment anyway) is "Life Goes On", which has a fantastic playout!

If you liked his last album I'm sure you'll enjoy this. And if you get the chance don't miss him when he returns to the UK in July supporting Gene Watson - Watson and Kilgore on the same stage .... it really doesn't get better than that!!
