This cable is fitted with a BT-style connector at one end and an RJ11 connector at the other. Typically used to connect communications equipment to a telephone socket. Please note that this cable is produced in two different wiring formats. The following is a guide, but should not be taken as definitive. This cable is straight-wired, and is suitable for connecting most telephones (notably except Panasonic brand) and older modems (slower than 14.4K) to a telephone socket. Faxes and fax-modem cards, modems of speed 14.4K and faster, and Panasonic brand telephones typically use the reverse-wired version of this cable.
