I was given one of these chairs some years ago by an acquaintance who "could not get on with it". and because it was known that I was having back problems, she offered to me. I am not a person who goes in for gimmicks, and I was suspicious to say the least. But in practice, despite its unconventional structure, I found the chair to be perfectly natural to sit/kneel on. At the time I spent many hours per day in front of the PC. In a conventional chair, my back ached, and I was really very stiff when arising from a session. From the moment I sit on this chair, and get into the work, to the moment I get up, the whole question of sitting & comfort & posture has gone from my mind. It has become a non-issue. The chair puts you in exactly the right posture for sitting in front of a screen, as far as I am concerned. After 5 years, I still love and respect this chair, and recently recommended and purchased the subject of this review (exactly as mine) for a friend.

Like many people I get to spend a lot of my time in front of a computer screen/desk, day in, day out. Sitting on a 'normal' chair, even one designed to support my back, left me in discomfort after little more than an hour into my working day. I do have an old back injury and also a leg injury, so I would constantly be shifting to try and get comfy on a 'normal' chair.

I bought this Ergonomic chair out of desperation. And I am so glad I did. My back is straight and relaxed; the way your weight is put through your toes, knees and glutes seems to prevent any feelings of discomfort from pressure in my lower back and hip joints. I can not praise this design enough. It does take a bit of getting used to, but once you have felt the benefits you will find yourself taking this chair from the office to the dining table and even to the lounge for watching TV! Actually, this is sitting in my 'Wish List' ready for me to buy another one - that good!

Looking specifically at this model - easy self assembly, the wheeled feet always seem like a weak spot to me, but they seem to work just fine (even when the weight limit is exceeded by a very tall friend using it). The wood is nicely finished, easy to dust/wipe clean. The upholstery seems to be quite tough, no signs of wear and tear after many months of daily use. The padding is more than adequate for comfort and isn't sagging nor 'dipping' where my knees rest.

All in all a very good product: it does help (me) with back problems and it is a nice solid piece of furniture which doesn't look out of place in any room in the house.

This was bought for my wife. Note it requires self-assembly which waws fine in my case but something which wasn't in the item description was the maximum weight of 90kg - fine for my wife but not enough for me! Make sure it's strong enough for you before you buy it!

It's good value for money, looks quite nice and does the job it's supposed to. The only problem is that it's not adjustable enough for those of us who are not built to standard measurements. I'm 5'2" and I find I need to prop up my knees with a cushion!

I purchased this chair with high expectations however found getting the correct angle took a fair amount of adjusting. Once set however the chair was ok for a month or so. I use the chair 3 days a week for about 9 hours a day and after the first month or so I found the knee cushion wearing around the edge and becoming uncomfortable, after a few more weeks the other cushion displayed the same behaviour. The padding isn't particularly robust. As a result I have stopped using, maybe if you only used the chair for a few hours a week you would have better use, but it's not a daily chair.

The chair itself is well designed and comfortable, however the instructions supplied with it for self-assembly are not clear at all. It took a while just to figure out how the pieces fit together. Then half way through I realised I had one of the wooden beams screwed in back to front - this could have been avoided with better instructions. I therefore had to unscrew the whole structure and start all over. It took at least one hour to get the chair assembled, but it was worth it in the end.

I purchased this for use in a home office. I've a little experience of low-back pain and stiffness, though nothing extensive. For the most part, I wanted a chair that would be comfortable for long stints and that would help me keep good posture. I'm pleased. The chair arrived promptly. The instructions for construction were clear, though could be improved a little. They're currently set-up as a single diagram with no clear ordering. Taking a leaf out of the Ikea book and providing a stage-by-stage construction guide would just make the images easier to read and instructions easier to follow.

Once constructed, the chair has proven comfortable. I've already worked some long days on it (that is, 10hours+). I do feel the need to take a break every now and again. The pressure on the knee pads is a little wearing after 2-3 hours. That said, I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be sitting still for that long, anyway.

It's easy to adjust the height of the chair and--so far at least. I certainly feel more comfortable on this than I do a normal office chair--and less stiff at the end of the day, too. If you're in the market for a new chair, then I'd recommend that that you try this--particularly if you suffer from poor posture or back pain.
