About Tefal steamers
The market in Steamers, as its known today, was developed when Tefal launched the first electric steamer with clear plastic bowls, in 1997. Eating healthily is now seen as a better way of losing weight than simply counting calories and people are looking into healthier ways to cook their food without the sometimes ambiguous claims of 'healthy' and 'low fat' on the food they are buying. Steaming is one of the guaranteed, healthiest ways to cook food and has the added benefits of retaining valuable nutrients, flavour and the colour of food.
 | With 63% of adults trying harder to get a healthy lifestyle, Tefal steamers will quickly steam fish, poultry, vegetables, fruit, rice and eggs more easily and efficiently, giving a tasty, healthy result everytime. |
Why is Tefal Unique? Kitchen appliances are now even more in demand but houses aren't getting any bigger. Tefal, the UK's favourite brand in the Steamer market, continues to lead the way in innovation. Advances such as inter-stackable baskets, which store over the base, make the steamer extremely compact. This means Tefal steamer take up less space in the kitchen compared to traditional steamers. Perfect for family sized meals, its large oval basket design allows optimum capacity (9 litre) and conveniently, when steaming larger items, all the baskets have removable bases allowing whole chickens and other larger food items to be steamed to perfection.

Tefal
Tefal owes its origins to a Frenchman, Marc Grégoire, and his wife, Colette. M. Grégoire, a keen fisherman, wanted to make his rod reel in more smoothly and, in the 1950's, experimented to see if a non stick coating might provide the answer. It did! But it was his wife who made the real breakthrough by gently suggesting that coating the cooking pans would have a more worthwhile application by making them easier to cook with and simpler to clean. Now, Tefal is the number one name in non-stick products and small appliances, operating in over 120 countries. Tefal remains committed to making household tasks easier and cooking results better, through a constant flow of new ideas and technology.
