Upgrade to the most powerful Tefal Ultimate Autoclean steam iron, which provides 2600 watts of power as well as 0-50g/minute continuous steam output, to gently soften clothes and allow for easier ironing. The Tefal Ultimate Autoclean steam iron also has a 160g shot of steam - a steam boost to get rid of those more stubborn creases. So as to complement its enhanced performances, the FV9550 boasts a 350ml water tank – less refilling and more time for ironing!
The steam output of an iron is indicated in grams per minute (g/min), so the higher the output, the more steam is generated to tackle creases. And the more powerful the iron, the deeper steam will penetrate fabric for quicker, hassle-free ironing and excellent results, no matter the fabric.
The FV9550 features the unique Autoclean soleplate, which destroys fibres from clothes, which could stick and damage the glideability of the iron. Tefal’s Autoclean system uses catalytic oxidation as the iron heats up to transform the fibres, which can cause marks on your fabric, into gas and steam, for long-lasting performance. The FV9550 features a vertical steam function, ideal for getting creases out of suits or other hanging garments. It can also be used to de-crease curtains.
Tefal’s Ultimate Autoclean boasts a unique and easy to use two-in-one Autosteam control which automatically sets the temperature and steam output for eight different fabric types. It also includes a Power Jeans setting for an enhanced steam boost to get through those tough creases. Furthermore, the FV9550’s large display allows for easy use of controls, ergonomic buttons and a comfort handle to make it easy to pick up and move.
The FV9550 is self-cleaning, with anti-scale and anti-drip functions for easy maintenance and long lasting performance.
Because safety is a key priority for Tefal, the iron comes equipped with an auto off feature, so there's no need to worry about whether the appliance has been turned off. If left unattended, the iron will turn itself off after eight minutes when on its heel, and after 30 seconds when laid down on its side or with it’s soleplate facing down. The iron also has an extra large, stable heel with anti slip material for safety and ease of storage. The Tefal warranty is for 12 months, supported by strong domestic guarantees and after sales service.
Tefal owes its origins to Frenchman Marc Grégoire, an engineer and keen fisherman. Monsieur Grégoire wanted the reel on his rod to run more smoothly, and experimented in the 1950s to see if a non-stick coating would work. It did, but it was his wife Collette who made the real breakthrough, suggesting the coating would be more useful in making cookware easier to use and clean. Now, Tefal is the number one name in non-stick products and small appliances, operating in more than 120 countries. Tefal remains committed to making household tasks easier and cooking results better, through a constant flow of new ideas, technology and innovation. Examples of that cutting-edge innovation can be seen in the ActiFry, the AirBake baking range and Tefal's unique Thermo Spot, which ensures your pans are always the perfect temperature to start cooking.
