Thermo-spot – Tefal’s unique heat indicator lets you know when your pan is pre-heated to the right temperature to seal the flavour in your food.
Tefal owes its origins to a Frenchman, Marc Grégoire, and his wife, Colette. M. Grégoire, a keen fisherman, wanted to make his rod reel in more smoothly and, in the 1950's, experimented to see if a non stick coating might provide the answer. It did! But it was his wife who made the real breakthrough by gently suggesting that coating the cooking pans would have a more worthwhile application by making them easier to cook with and simpler to clean. Although the amazon website says suitable for all heat sources except induction. This pan set arrived and said gas and radiant ring only. I called Tefal who confirmed that its only suitable for these two heat sources. Tefal Supra Cookware Set, 7 Piece

Very good value and you get a lot of pans for your money. Some of the price is obviously reflected in the quality because one of the frying pans was bent out of shape which meant the handle did not fit properly and was wobbly.
They are very light weight which is good if you don't want to build your muscles up but the downside is that they are easily knocked across the hob and you need to keep tight hold if you are stirring things.
The red spot is very useful for judging temperatures and the handles are comfortable and the glass lids allow you to see what is going on, in our house we use the steamer a lot and this is excellent. Overall I am pleased with the purchase. Time will tell how long they last, if they give 5 years service then it will be money well spent. I would recommend these pans because of the price at around £50.

Fantastic pots, so easy to clean. Just be sure to protect the teflon coating and these should last forever.
