Thirty years ago I was married and received a set of Tefal non-stick pans plus a non-stick frying/omlette pan. The marriage didn't last and neither did the non-stick on the pans. Even using wooden or plastic spatulas/palette knives etc the black insides were scratched and was wearing off. Then, being on my own, I purchased a very, very expensive set of Le Cruset which lasted for over 25 years until, bent and aged (me not the pans), I had to buy something lighter. The improvement in the non-stickablity in modern pans is amazing and it's not just the black insides which are so much better but materials of which the pans themselves are made of has improved beyond measure. At first I forgot that lifting a Tefal frying pan off the cooker didn't require the use of two hands and it came up so fast I very nearly threw the contents of the pan over my left shoulder! I especially like the red circle(s) in the middle of these pans to show when they have reached the required temperature for cooking.
If you are young and enjoy lifting weights I would always choose the Le Cruset option because when they say these are meant to last a lifetime they mean it but when you grow older and you want and need great quality, lightweight pans then choose Tefal in any option, saucepan to frying pan. I now have four frying pans of differing sizes and I would totally recommend these to all cooks, good, bad or indifferent. Treat them well, don't put the hot pans under the taps, just leave them to cool on a flat surface and they will certainly repay you.

Had problems in the past with the handles being heavier than the pans which led to dangerous spills. This pan is perfectly weighted and completely non stick. Would recommend, especially for the price.
