The large viewing window lets you see the cooking progress without opening the lid and cooling down the fryer. You have complete control with the variable thermostat which allows you to cook different foods at different temperatures or crisper chips for the family. The lid is hermetically sealed and locked so no oil will spill if the fryer is knocked over. In the large frying basket is 5mm micro holes which allow for even frying of your food. We bought this fryer as it looked smart. But it gets really hot on the outside. The chrome look fades fast and we are changing it within a year. The lid gunges up quick and now wont seal properly. Look at the other units before this one!!!

What ever you do don't buy this fryer. We are about to return our second one in less than two months. The first one's lid wouldn't open after a few days except by using a knife blade to prise it open and although this one opens perfectly the lid flies off the plastic retaining clips and lands who knows where
which although makes frying interesting is rather dangerous!!

hAVE HAD THIS DEEP FRYER FOOR ABOUT 7 MONTHS NOW AND USE IT QUITE FREQUENTLY. ALTHOUGH THE BODY DOES GET HOT WHILST IN USE,I DONT SEE THIS AS A MAJOR DISADVANTAGE.

I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH CLOSING OR OPENING IT AT ALL AND ALL THE PARTS ARE INTACT. IT DOES TAKE A LONG TIME TO HEAT UP THOUGH - LONGER THAN ANY OTHERS I'VE USED BEFORE.
