Amazon Verified Purchase
Inspired after a visit to the BBC Good Food Show when the chefs were all using saute pans for their various main dishes, we set off on a hunt for a suitable pan.
The so called professionals' choices (endorsed) were all fearsomely expensive and one whispered to us that some had durability issues unless really well cared for.
So, back to Tefal (we have had previous saucepans for 10 years and they ate still going strong with no loss in anti-stick with the therma post also proving really useful) and we spotted this pan.We went for the 'Preference' pan due to its perceived heavier weigh, thermo spot,all round flexibility and hoped for durability. Works with all heats sources and oven proof up to 180 degrees.
24 Hours later, it arrived from Amazon and has proven to be another Tefal classic. Non-stick is exemplary, lid with steam vent works well and it holds heat really well without boiling too quickly.
Should be able to use metal implements but we prefer not to risk it and use only wooden utensils.
So, from an admitted non-expert, a big thumbs up for this great addition to the pan range.

I bought this pan last year. I wanted a pan that really was non-stick and that would last a long time. I can honestly say this is the best piece of kitchenware that I have ever bought. It heats fast, nothing ever sticks to it, which makes it so easy to clean and food cooks brilliantly in it.
The fact that the pan has high sides means I can cook anything in it. I use it for fry-ups, pancakes, Spaghetti Bolognese, curry, stews, stir frys etc. Infact I no longer use my other pans, I always use this one. I would always by a pan with a lid as it helps things cook faster and stops fat spitting out of it. The bonus of this lid which I don't find with some pans is that you can unscrew the handle, so you can clean under it.
I have used this nearly everyday for a year, and it still looks brand new. Amazing quality. Would recommend to anyone!

ALL of the pans we purchased are great pans BUT sorry BIG problem the handles lids & knobs get very hot.....Should be a warning
