Non-Stick Exterior – These aluminium pots and pans have strong non-stick outer, making the pans easy to clean both inside and out.
Stainless Steel Stamped Base – the heavy gauge aluminium achieves optimum heat distribution with the stainless steel stamped base ensuring durability. Suitable for all heat sources including induction, this specially designed base delivers impressive results.
Bakelite Handles – handles with polished stainless steel inserts are oven proof up to 180c.
Glass Lids – For easy monitoring, with stainless tell rims for added style.
Thermo-spot – Tefal’s unique heat indicator lets you know when your pan is pre-heated to the right temperature to seal the flavour in your food.
Tefal owes its origins to a Frenchman, Marc Grégoire, and his wife, Colette. M. Grégoire, a keen fisherman, wanted to make his rod reel in more smoothly and, in the 1950's, experimented to see if a non stick coating might provide the answer. It did! But it was his wife who made the real breakthrough by gently suggesting that coating the cooking pans would have a more worthwhile application by making them easier to cook with and simpler to clean. Great item but glad I shopped around. Currently £40 at Amazon and £20 at John Lewis, not even marked as reduced. I usually just assume Amazon will be cheapest, but I guess not.

This pan is not of the quality I am used to from Tefal, weve had Tefal pans for thirty years, not the same ones )must have had three or four frying pans with lids. The last one was quality, first class but worn out, so as usual we purchased what we thought was the best we could find, the handle has fallen off the lid once, the handle gets very very hot, the last one didnt, the pan seems fine, usual first class quality but I would describe the lid as DANGEROUS, ive e mailed Tefal but had no response.
I rate this product as a big fat ZERO.
