Some people are put off buying a steam generator as they tend to be larger than the average iron. The Minute Steam generator is the exception to this rule. Although it is packed full of steam power, it has a foot print which is only slightly bigger than a conventional steam iron when laid flat, making it both simple to store and use.Bar pressure: The higher the bar pressure the stronger and more effective the steam. 1 bar pressure is roughly equivalent to water coming out of a tap at full force. Tefal Steam Generators have up to 5 bar pressure! Soleplate: The Super smooth and scratch resistant Ultraglide soleplate is on all Tefal Steam Generators and makes ironing up to 50% easier. Continuous steam: Steam Generators hold water in separate large water tanks so with some models you can iron continuously for up to 90 minutes before refilling. Whilst some models have a 'refill at any time' feature which means that you do not have to wait for the generator to cool down and heat up again in between refilling. Fast heat up: Some models have a 'super fast heat up' feature which means there are ready to work in just two minutes! Bigger is better: Yes a Steam Generator is bigger than a standard iron, but because the water is kept seperate from the actual iron, they are incredibly easy to manoeuvre and use. Vertical steam: Vast amounts of pressurised steam means that you can freshen up dry and clean only clothes whilst on the hanger with no direct fabric contract. Ideal for use with the Tefal steam Generator ironing board: Tefal have specially designed an ironing board to suit all Tefal Steam Generators. A mesh construction allows the steam to pass right through your ironing and the 'rest' area is big and stable enough to hold the base unit securely in place.
