After debating which fryer to choose to replace my old one, and playing around with various models in a local currys store(!), i found that this was the best model compared with price and usablitiy. It is much easier having a straight handle on the basket which doesn't need to be raised/lowered, used to open the lid or anything else. The controls are so easy to use, and a really great feature it that apart from the element unit, and the outer casing everything can go in the dishwasher. The unit seems to fry much more efficently and doesn't seem to loose temperature when food is dropped into cook. The heating element of the fryer is actually in the bottom of the oil box and it heats the oil alot quicker than concealed elements. There is a crumb tray to make cleaning the unit alot easier, especially if you wanted to fry breaded items. Overall the only disavantage to the model is that storage space need is a little larger, but can deal with that because its a much better model than those plastic fryers.

I bought the Tefal fryer just over a year ago and intially was very pleased with it, but after a year it blew up, I was only using this product once a week, I contacted Tefal and they asked me to send them the model number this was at least 2 months ago and have heard nothing back, I have e-mailed them since the first e-mail to remind them to contact me; but I still have not heard back from them, it seems as though they have swept by complaint under the carpet and have no intention of getting back to me. Because of their customer service I will no longer be buying anymore Tefal products.

purchased this recently to replace my very well used old tefal fryer.
very neat size and very solidly built.
the big thing about this one is the removable tray insert that catches all the crumbs and bits from whatever foods you fry.
simply remove it and tap it into the bin and replace.
it will keep your oil clean hence it will last longer.
i believe this one to be the best on the market at present.

This has a paper thin outer case very flimsy only the bowl holds it togeather it is not robust like the other revewer stated perhaps he works for tefal it is pritty. Read more
