Thanks to a unique "Opti-Quick" technology system (a patented innovation by Tefal), you don't need to pre-heat your water. With the push of a button, the water is sent up the heating element in a spiral movement, heating it immediately as it travels. This way, no energy is wasted on heating water you don't need, or boiling water you don't use. In fact, Quick Cup provides an energy saving of up to 65% compared to a standard kettle, helping you to save on bills too. Bought this stainless steel deluxe model to replace my well-used original Tefal Quick Cup and find this model much quieter and more efficient. The water tank is slightly larger and the buttons are not fiddly as on the original. The addition of a descaling reminder light and drip tray are definite improvements. Would highly recommend.

I purchased this product several weeks ago for my ageing mother, no more worries about her scalding herself lifting a full boiling kettle. Instant hot water for drinks in no time, she actually now bothers to make herself more drinks. Can not rate this product more highly.

I bought this one late July as it's predecessor had been going downhill and eventually failed altogether. I hummed and hawed a bit before going for the newer model but now glad I did.
First of all it's easier to programme and delivers water which is noticeably hotter and because the initial burst of Water is really hot, you get a better beverage. Because of this, Tea and Coffee tastes better.
Programming it to your Cup size is a doddle: Just hold the Red button down until it reaches the desired level and from then onwards, you just tap the button and it delivers the same amount every time.
I'm very pleased with it.
