Very capable & super- stylish Health Grill!! I purchased the above for my Aunt & the European version (slightly different handle) Tefal Health Grill Deluxe/ Plus for myself in Sep & Oct 2003. I had fully researched the other options on the market but was particularly sold on the SUPER- EASY CLEAN 'removable' grilling plates as my predecessor was a nuisance to clean (the non- removable grill plates had to be cleaned while still warm....couldn't enjoy my food!) There is a rectangular grilling plate that can be used fully opened flat as a BBQ surface or closed over, with variable thickness, for meats, etc. I LOVE my grilled sandwiches (Italian panini makers 'eat your heart out!) and a fat collector shows what lardy stuff gets left behind. The silver & black styling gives a contemporary edge so I'm proud to have it out 'at the ready' on my worksurface all the time (not hidden away). A very minor downside is that the 3 setting temp control does not have a timer - but this has no bearing on the overall 5 star package!

This is so groovy. Meat cooked superbly in minutes. Anything from burgers to chops (no fats needed). Easy peasy cleaning - so, so, so, important if it wants to live in my kitchen! And, wait for it, suuuperb, sandwiches and paninis - if that's how you spell it!
