About the Author
Anna Hrachovec launched Mochimochi Land (mochimochiland.com), a website and brand of knitted toy patterns, in early 2007. To design her toys, Anna draws inspiration from Japanese kawaii (cute) culture and children's illustrators such as Dr. Seuss. Her original knitted creations have been featured on The Martha Stewart Show, around the Web and in print and have been exhibited in galleries in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and Tokyo. In addition to her website, Anna maintains a blog (mochimochiland.com/weblog), a Flickr group (Mochimochi Land's Photostream), and a Ravelry group for her fans (Mochimochi Land Lovers). Anna's first book of knitted toy patterns, Knitting Mochimochi, was published by Watson-Guptill in June 2010.

When you like knitting but the thought of knitting a whole jumper is so depressing this is the book for you.
I have been knitting little things for a while but the items that you learn to knit in this book are brilliant. Being so small they have the aaah factor. The instructions are spot on, which isn't always the case in some books and there are clear pictures to help you understand the techniques used.
I have filled my child's advent calender with tiny toys this year which has been a lot more fun than the usual chocolates.
I mean, who can resist a Christmas armadillo.
Basically, get the book, you wont regret it.

The patterns in this book are truly lovely, but some experience knitting tiny things or at least shaping is required as some of the patterns are quite complex.

If I had seen this book in real life I would never have bought it . I was so disappointed to find that all the patterns are knitted in the round on DP knitting needles, which I hate using !!! Such a shame.
