I see this film Saturday 04/03/06 with a friend and although its not meant to be, we both thought it was one of the funniest things we’ve seen. There is little or no special effects which makes it even better. A completely different way of making films to nowadays. There is a small amount of over acting. But it doesn’t matter, as you will laugh it off. The Gargon, when you actually see it, appears as a silhouette of a lobster that has been grown to a large size and pasted on top of the film strip.
Another thing that also makes this film a classic is you can actually see the string holding the UFO up, and how near the end of the film the alien (who looks exactly like any other person) is snipping and re-wiring high voltage power lines. Without getting shocked!
If you do happen to get this film, you have got to keep an eye out for the bit when just after the gun – fight with the alien and detectives. At this point the alien has gotten someone to drive him off, at gun point, and there are 3 detectives talking. One of them says ‘hey what happened to that car that was parked here a minute ago’ there is a slight pause and then the other clicks his fingers, steps forward to the other two and says ‘that’s it!’ ‘That’s how the alien got away!’
You can tell, they are proper on the ball.
