I know I have banged on about Ginger Rogers in other reviews, but I just cannot help myself.
In this movie she shows us her great range of acting abilities.
After walking out on a loveless marriage, Ginger's character, faces up to the knowledge she might not see her very small daughter again. The years pass, and due to her former husband remarrying, she gets a chance to see, and get to know her teenage daughter, and as you might guess, that isn't an easy thing. This is a film well worth watching as there isn't a song, dance or gag in sight, just Miss Rogers acting beautifully as the mother who helps her screen daughter realise not everything is black and white.

Teenage Rebel is a very good film released under the FOX Cinema Series banner in 2013. However, my enjoyment was spoiled by Fox "changing the apect ratio to fit your screen". The film, originally shot in widescreen "CinemaScope", was shown in the 4:3 ratio to fit the old style TVs. Obviously, nobody has told Fox that most people now have widescreen TVs. SHAME ON FOX!!!!!

Ginger is great 18 Aug 2013

As always Ginger Rogers shows her varied talent in this serious role. She does a wonderful job. Amazing the girl who plays her daughter in this movie marries in real life the young man who is also in this movie and they were married for years until her passing. If you are a collector of Ginger's movies, buy this.

I liked this movie because it starred my favorite actress, Ginger Rogers, who does her usual outstanding job, of interpating the character that she portrays.

I love classic movies and "Teenage Rebel" is one of my favorites. The film is interesting not only from the story-line, but also from the artistic point of view as well. The leading actors are Ginger Rogers, Michael Rennie, Betty Lou Keim, Warren Berlinger and Diane Jergens. Incredible cast and incredible play, especially I like Ginger Rogers play, it adds much to the impression of the film.

bad transfer 2 Jun 2013
By Cesare Petrillo - Published on Amazon.com

I like the film itself, but the transfer is horrible - if you're buying Cinemascope, you should get it - this is 4/3 and half the image is gone. SO DON'T BUY IT - FOX IS CHEATING US

I hate that I didn't like it... 13 Mar 2014

I hate that I didn't like it because I LOVE Ginger Rogers. The young girl's acting made me so uncomfortable that I had to watch most the movie through my fingers. Melodramatic.
