Brilliant 1 Aug 2009
If I could only have one book this would be it. This is a great book and the CD which comes with it is invaluable. I have spent many hours listening to it on my iPod and scribbling on a notepad whilst on the train/on lunchbreaks etc.

The CD only reads up to 60wpm which is the only downside about this package. If you're looking to get to 100wpm (or more) try scribing the news, radio programmes or children's audio books as they are often read at a slower pace.

Yes, you will get to know and loate Dawn's accent and some of the passages are a bit obscure(problems with nail glue is one of my personal funny favourites!)

This gives a very comprehensive look at teeline. I would highly recommend it.

The Teeline Bible 31 Dec 2009
An absolute must for any journalist who needs to learn shorthand. I am teaching myself with this book and it is easy to follow, comprehensive and clearly laid out.

Excellent book 6 April 2010
By J. Hall
I love this book. It breaks down the art of teeline shorthand into simple, easy to learn exercises, that are logical and straightforward.

Works best in regular 20 minute sessions, I do one a day during coffee break at work.

Excellent for journalism and business
This is certainly a very good course. The Teeline shorthand system is easier to learn and do than Pittman. This course can be studied over a period of months. Read more

I actually know Dawn as she was my shorthand teacher so I'm bound to give it a good review. However, this is as good as it gets in terms of text book and audio CD combined on the... Read more

Not only is this book a great help but you don't even need to go to shorthand class if you practice using this! Such a great help and the CD is fab for practicing.

teeline for journalists
A very good book. I'm ploughing on with learning shorthand. The train of learning is well considered and builds upon itself in a logical procession. Very good.

This book has become very useful for me throughout my course. I use it almost everyday, and the audio CD is very helpful.

If only this had been published earlier
This book wasn't out when I learnt shorthand so I did the standard Teeline course instead. The standard course is good but aimed at secretaries. Read more

Six months' hard labour
Face it - learning Teeline is a complete pig. There is no getting round it.

This course is better than most, because it avoids the pompous secretarial tone of the older... Read more
