Like all the Vocalion BBC Transcription Services recordings, this compilation is superb. The tracks were made in 1956, when the Heath band was in fabulous form after its record breaking tour of America. The arrangements, many of which I have never heard before - including Johnny Keating's brilliant score of 'I've Got You Under My Skin '- are an absolute delight. And the soloists! Trumpeter Eddie Blair's joyous jazz on 'The Song Is You' reaches an ultimate level of excellence. And tenor man Red Price reaches similar heights with his definitive interpretation of Johnny Green's Body and Soul. This track is entirely new to me - these albums are an unexpected treat for any Ted Heath fan. Please keep them coming.

As in all 4 previous CDs in this series, Ted Heath and the orchestra with very good vocalists give excellent performances throughout
