I wanted a stand for my ipad lookalike, a Momo11 Bird tablet and although I was a bit put off by the reviewer who said it's not suitable for the ipad, I took the risk anyway as it was so cheap.

I can understand the comment in terms of portability because it is quite heavy and not something you would want to carry around with you all the time. My intended use is very much home-based as I wanted to be able to support my tablet on a stand on a side table whilst sitting in the garden because my arthritic wrists get tired if holding it at reading height too long, or to have it propped up to the side of me whilst working on my main computer indoors. For these functions it is absolutely perfect.

I love the way the back leg has various click-stop angles allowing for a variety of viewing angles from the front. I have also found that if you don't fully pull the front legs apart and create a shallower 'V', once on a table they stay where you put them and provide a perfect stand for any model of Kindle either in or out of the protective case.

An excellent product that I would thoroughly recommend for home use, but not for people on the move.

You can tell that this is the best iPad stand out there because there are about ten different versions available on Amazon, everyone wants to sell it......

Like all the best designs, on the surface this looks like a very simple bit of kit but the details have been very well thought out. It is lightweight but of a sturdy enough construction to survive even my heavy handed typing style.

It holds an iPad at almost any angle you could wish for. The locking points are about 15 degrees apart and certainly for a iPad it will stay at any angle in-between. The most vertical position doesn't quiet leave room for the docking cable at the bottom but having said that I prefer a bit more of a slope and you could always turn the iPad upside down while you are charging/syncing.

It can't quite cope with my Tosh laptop which is a 17" screen but that is only because the feet aren't long enough to reach the Tosh's bevelled front edge but works well with my old laptop which has a square front edge.

It all comes down to personal preference in the end but I don't think there is a better iPad stand out there.

For the price, you would really struggle to find a better laptop stand. I'm really impressed with it. It works great with my MacBook Pro. It's sturdy, and folds down into a really discrete size, including a little black corded bag included so that you can throw it into your laptop bag and take it with you.

There are only two things that stop me giving this the full five-stars:

* The little rubber legs which come out to hold the laptop onto the stand extend quite a long way up and, if you're using your laptop keyboard, get in the way of where your hand would otherwise rest.
* The arms of the stand are metal, so you get a bit of a nasty grating noise as you place your laptop onto the stand. I think a little rubber trim here would not have gone amiss.

I've bought several of these for the office to make laptops more ergonomically friendly. The design is clever, and can easily hold a variety of laptops, though I would be wary of using it for 15"+ laptops. The biggest I've tried is a heavy old 17" Fujitsu Amilo laptop; it holds it, but the little flippers at the end of the arms are at their limit. Don't use the stand for laptops if you plan to type on the laptop - use an external keyboard/mouse.

I use one with an iPad, and they are also used in the office for a 13" MBP & 15" MBP.

For the price, I would thoroughly recommend it. Alternatively for something a bit more sturdy at a slightly higher price, I would thoroughly recommend a Bookchair.

I hope this review helps.

This is a well constructed, sturdy stand. I would assume that it would be great for supporting a laptop at any preferred angle on your desk, it is very flexible.

That said, I bought this stand for my iPad and have to say that I should really have returned it, but it was a gift, so have kept it. It is well constructed and sturdy, but really over the top for an iPad. It is not at all portable, you would not want to carry it in a bag to use at another location for example.

I would advise purchasing something specifically created for your iPad.
