Product Description

Important Note:

1.You are also required to do the settings in your Wii device as to set the picture format from 420i to 420p on HD.

2. When connecting the cable to TV, please make sure to link the 2 red plugs to the back of the TV correctly. Between the 2 red plugs, one is for video signal and the other one is audio for the right channel. On a Sony Bravia TV, the sockets are in the same order as the cable therefore it's easy to set up correctly. However for other TV makes, the three video plugs are followed by the two audio plugs. Please check each plugs carefully for the right cable to use. If a wrong connection is made, the colour will appear wrong on the screen and no audio from the right speaker

Excellent 20 Jun 2008
By Colin
Wasn't sure if it was worth upgrading the cable on my Wii - after all, it's not meant to output fantastic graphics.

However, I for the sake of a fiver or so, I decided to buy this - and definitely haven't regretted it! The picture quality on my Samsung LCD is very much improved - text is crisp and clear, colours rich. It really has made a big difference, and I'd definitely recommend.

For anyone connecting a Wii to a HD tv via scart (or composite) cable - you may be losing out on picture quality - using scart, the Wii interlaces the signal, then the tv de-interlaces it - and some HD tvs, especially cheaper brands, don't do it all that well, producing a poorer quality picture - so getting a cable like this means you can set the Wii to output using 480p (progressive, not interlaced) in the Wii settings, and you may get a much nicer picture.
I have a low-priced 32" HD TV, and there is a big improvement using this cable instead of scart - though some people, usually with the more expensive brands of HD TV, may not find so much of a difference to their picture quality.

Cheap and cheerful 16 Jan 2009
I haven't ever purchased a Nintendo official component cable so I can't directly compare BUT this cable has certainly dramatically improved the picture quality. Image is now pretty much razor sharp. Very happy with purchase. Especially at the price paid. Highly recommend!

Decent Product
Works well, but not really an essential piece of equipment for the Wii. Happy with the product, cant fault it.

Did the job
I haven't had the original Nintendo cable so I suppose there could be a difference I am unaware of but these did connect the wii to my HD TV and the picture was good.

Time to just accept that the Wii isn't an HD console.
After reading countless reviews of the difference in quality when switching from scart to component, I was rather excited to try this out. Read more

A no-brainer
Far cheaper than what you will find in the high street but just as good. Connects to the TV and Wii sockets perfectly and gives a noticable increase in the clarity of the image. Read more
