When I first got my iPad at Christmas, I just fell in love with it. However I felt very insecure with it. It was shiny and slippery and I was terrified of dropping it. Not being a great shortcut texter and a stickler for punctuation, I was slightly disappointed with the on screen keyboard... This cover dissolved all of my concerns. To begin with, it is very substantial and instantly makes a person feel that he can casually sling the iPod onto the back seat of the car without a care (I would disagree with the description using the word leather, and would suggest that this word be placed in quotation marks.) However, I can see how many would be of the opinion that the cover is constructed of a material which may be superior to leather. All in all the cover gives a person confidence that the hardware can be taken anywhere, and no longer needs to be treated with a great deal of care. There is a problem with the case regarding using it for uses other than typing, as when fully opened out, it takes up quite a lot of room and there's a tendency to want to take it off. The keyboard is great, despite it having to be charged seperately from the iPod, but the charge lasts much, much longer than that of the iPad. So why only four stars? Well, for an accountant, the absence of a pound sign - which is replaced by a dollar sign might prove annoying. That being said, My pride in my new Christmas present has doubled and I am now much more proud and confident to take my machine anywhere. Thanks technet.
