Having previously used a TeckNet iPad case before, I had no hesitation in buying this particular item, equipped with a bluetooth keyboard, for use mainly when typing lengthier messages and reports on my iPad. I checked a number of similar products, some double in price, but based up on TeckNet's good build quality I purchased one. I'd rather have this item than not.

quite simply.

iPad + keyboard + GoodReader + iWorks = Home Office with a 10 hr battery life!

PS don't buy from Kensington or any of those jokers selling the same thing for 2x or 3x the price.

Does what it should and connects with iPad without a problem. The only downside, which is not a fault of the unit is if you have a "rubberised" back cover on the iPad then it will not fit the case. Therefore be prepared to remove this cover every time you want to use the keyboard....and this is not always practical as the covers are a very tight fit!

Positive:

* Works as advertised: pairs easily, keyboard works well, good access to ports, etc.

* Well made: has held up to a month of daily to-and-from work with nary a scratch or blemish -- much better than the KavaJ leather case I have

* Keyboard's rubberised texture is nice to the touch (in my opinion, anyway)

Negative:

* Thick. Like, /really/ thick. Over an inch with the iPad. And heavy. Basically, you're turning your iPad into a thicker, heavier, (arguably) less-functional 11inch MacBook Air.

* Lousy keyboard feel. Keys are mushy and require a long throw -- a horrible combination for fast typing. I didn't find it any faster than the soft keyboard

* The ' key is in a bizarre place (down below the . or so). It's really tough to get used to, and quite a reach. I ended up avoiding contractions just because it was such a pain.

It's really very close to being a great accessory, and it's cheaper than my preferred alternative (a vanilla leather case + Apple wireless keyboard), but it just doesn't come close to being as usable.

The unit arrived within 72 hours. The case is of very high quality, fits the Pad really well and looks the part. The keypad battery has a fantastic life and is easy to link in. In all, really good value and makes day to day use for mail and letters so much easier.

When I first got my iPad at Christmas, I just fell in love with it. However I felt very insecure with it. It was shiny and slippery and I was terrified of dropping it. Not being a great shortcut texter and a stickler for punctuation, I was slightly disappointed with the on screen keyboard... This cover dissolved all of my concerns. To begin with, it is very substantial and instantly makes a person feel that he can casually sling the iPod onto the back seat of the car without a care (I would disagree with the description using the word leather, and would suggest that this word be placed in quotation marks.) However, I can see how many would be of the opinion that the cover is constructed of a material which may be superior to leather. All in all the cover gives a person confidence that the hardware can be taken anywhere, and no longer needs to be treated with a great deal of care. There is a problem with the case regarding using it for uses other than typing, as when fully opened out, it takes up quite a lot of room and there's a tendency to want to take it off. The keyboard is great, despite it having to be charged seperately from the iPod, but the charge lasts much, much longer than that of the iPad. So why only four stars? Well, for an accountant, the absence of a pound sign - which is replaced by a dollar sign might prove annoying. That being said, My pride in my new Christmas present has doubled and I am now much more proud and confident to take my machine anywhere. Thanks technet.

good quality, not very thin but not very thick either. Keyboard is rubber and responsive. I didn't check how long the battery last.

The only negative side i can find is that when you set it up like a laptop, you can't control the angle of the screen as you like, and the "only" angle is too vertical.. you can't lower the screen too much
