  • Technotrade is the leading supplier of Weather Stations, Temperature Stations and clocks in Germany. With experience going back for more than 20 years the company is pleased to offer its high quality range in the UK.

The Technoline WS 9620 Weather Station has a long list of features and comes with a Swiss Precision Turbo Long Range wireless Outside Sensor.

The outside sensor transmits, from up to 100metres from the base unit, the temperature and the humidity back to the main unit.

It uses radio control technology for the clock which is the most accurate way to tell the time and it automatically adjusts itself at the season time changes. It has a Time Zone setting so you can choose any setting from across Europe including GMT.

On the display it has either 12 or 24 hour time mode. On the LCD display you can read weather forecast tendency to help with how the weather is changing and the 'weather boy' depicts the up and coming forecasted weather pattern.

The weather station measures both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, as well as maximums and minimums during the set time period.

The main station is either wall mounted or table standing and has an indicator warning you when the battery is low. The main unit can communicate with up to three outside sensors.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 4 Nov 2011
My weather station has been working for about a week now and I am very pleased with it. It was easy to set up and the instructions are easy to follow. The time was picked up from the Frankfurt transmitter in no time and everything worked as it should within minutes.
The weather station displays clearly all you need to know as an armchair weather man but has the added brilliant feature of a weather boy which changes clothes according to the predicted conditions which is much more fun especially if you are trying to get children interested. I paid just £27 for this delightful unit and it is a bargain compared to others with a much higher price tag.

2.0 out of 5 stars Technoline WS 9620-IT Weather Station 16 Dec 2012

This item was very good in the beginning and had a nice appearance. However it only worked for a few months. I returned it and got a replacement, it only worked for a few days. I also bought one as a present for a friend and it stopped working after a few months. I would not recommend this weather station.

4.0 out of 5 stars An amusing diversion 15 May 2012

This is an amusing little gadget which provokes almost daily comments. It provides a generally reliable guide to the weather, although I am not sure I would be getting my deckchair out as often as the weather man does. A good indicator of indoor and outdoor temperatures.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! 20 Feb 2013

I did a lot of research before choosing this weather station and am glad that I picked it from the many available.
There don't seem to be any issues with it at all. I can't think of any features you would want that it doesn't offer. It was easy to set up and the instructions (in English) are clear if you need to refer to them - we didn't. It was really useful in the recent sub-zero winter and provided me with a good warning of ice on the road. The little man (who changes his clothes according to the temperature) adds amusement and makes the bad news seem a little less grim. This item is highly recommended. It arrived promptly and was well packaged. We love it.

My husband loves it as does our 11 year old son especially the Little man who dresses up. Looking forward to him undressing as the weather warms up! Would recommend to any one who is interested in temperature out side humidity and the like.

A interesting little device bought as a gift for father. It took a while getting the outside sensor to mesh with the internal unit but once done everything worked OK. Very happy with product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it 15 July 2013

I bought this has I have been getting low pressure humidity headaches so it would help me decide whether I will go out and /or take some headache pills or even prevent them. I started to get slightly headachey at 50 percent humidity when the sun was out. When the humidity is high I try to stay in the shade by a river which is cooler, and less likely for me to get headaches. I get regular humidity headaches during the night and I spotted the reading 58C, which went on all night without break, my poor head! However, it looks like I am doing to have to have some kind of dehumidifier on during hot nights. From a preventative aspect, it is going to be interesting trying to figure out ways to 'beat the humidity' for me to keep well. I have even thought about buying a cooling vest, or even making up one.

I am looking forward to watching it in winter when it gets really icy.

It's has large numbers so easy to read from a distance. This one does not have wind speed, but there is a Technoline that has this for a few extra quid.

Sometimes the outdoor sensors don't don't work so I took out and replaced all batteries, including the one in the outdoor sensor thingy, and it worked again. I wouldn't have a computer near it during set up, this may mess up the sensors. I know when I went downstairs, away from my PC, it worked.

I have heard it eats batteries, and that it may break after 2 weeks. So far neither of this has happened.
