This is a quality system. Enough said. No seriously this is a great system, the sound is amazing, believe me you will not be able to turn this up full volume without doing some serious damage to your hearing. The vast array of buttons on the system and remote may look confusing but they are fairly easy to work out.
There are various options for the sound to be spread around the room via satellite speakers and you are able to play around on the system with the depth of the sound i.e. flat/heavy/clear etc. There is a clock/timer/record function, 39 preset stations (I would tune them in manually - trust me) and of course dvd/cd playback capability. Also plays mp3/WMA files and you can view JPEG images on your cd's individually or via a slideshow format. Oh and of course the system looks great (looks are important).
So why only four out of five? Well even though there are 5 cd/dvd trays there is no continuation after the first disc has stopped, you have to press the button to start the next one. Bit of a bummer if you are lazy. Also if I want to be picky when you turn the system off the clock does not stay on it disappears and goes into standby, but maybe I have not read the instructions properly :). Also one last sticking point is when you are listening to the radio and wish to change the station you have to press the station number, there is no option on the remote to go up or down to the next set station.
But apart from that the dvd's and cd's play fine, easy to set up and there are enough options on the dvd side of things to keep people happy and like I said, and most importantly, the sound is incredible!
