Product Description

Product Description

"There are fifteen major breakthroughs in technical analysis! SEVEN of these breakthroughs are new, never-before-revealed material!" - George Lane, Stochastics Originator. As professional traders approach the 21st century, accelerating technological change threatens to make conventional technical studies and indicators ineffective. To compete in this changing environment, these professionals need radical new uses and combinations of indicators and formulas to keep their competitive edge. Not a primer for the novice, TECHNICAL ANALYSIS FOR THE TRADING PROFESSIONAL resets the scales, arming today's professional trader with new, unique, and never-before-seen formulas and uses of key market indicators and techniques.

Book Description

This groundbreaking book on technical analysis presents formulas for a new derivative oscillator and a new Composite Index indicator never before seen in the industry. The author also presents groundbreaking techniques for combining indicators with other indicators, a process not done previously. Intended for sophisticated and professional traders, Technical Analysis for the Trading Professional is filled with more than 150 charts and graphs to illustrate its theme and new uses and combinations of indicators and formulas. In Technical Analysis for the Trading Professional, the author provides and explains specific formulas to improve market timing, detection of false signals, and other problems. The book presents the author's custom indicators that analyze other indicators as well as presenting modified versions of such important indicators as Andrew Cardwell's Relative Strength Index, George Lane's Stochastic, and Joe DiNapoli's price projection. The author combines these previous indicators with her own research and indicators to create a new and unique winning system. Technical Analysis for the Trading Professional provides new and previously unknown uses of oscillators. Her new formulas and unique combinations of indicators are especially effective because they can be applied across different markets and different time frames.

3.0 out of 5 stars In-depth technical study marred by deceitful marketing ploy, 29 May 1999
By A Customer
The book cover jacket states,"Look into this book for: A custom composite index formula that will diverge against RSI.." This is also stated on the back cover and with front cover chart examples. Unfortunately the author reneges on this claim in the body of this book only to show the potential of the indicator and direct the reader to her web site that charges $5500.00 for a few select traders to whom she will reveal this information. I have no problem with technicians keeping their proprietary studies to themselves, but this book deceitfully makes an offer, accepts payment and does not deliver. This seems to me like a deceptive marketing ploy that mars what is an obviously perceptive and in-depth study of technical indicators in the futures industry. It is suprising that the renowned George C. Lane would give this his Foreward and support.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best, 29 Dec 1999
I have been in the business for over fifteen years now and can confidently say that this book has changed the way I approach the markets in my everday trading. Ms. Browns book will open your eyes to new ways to analyze common indicators, while she also reveals some very powerful propietary indicators. The book contains a wealth of new information and is a must read for any serious student of technical analysis..

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent contribution to subject of technical analysis, 7 Jun 1999
By A Customer
Technical Analysis for the Trading Professional is a book that I keep close at hand when I am preparing to trade. It's allowed me to look at the use and application of all indicators: oscillators, moving averages, trendlines etc., in entirely new ways. Although the book is advertised as being for the "Trading Profesional" the material is presented in such a thorough way that any serious student will gain much useful knowledge from the pages. If you are a follower of Elliott, Gann or Fibonacci analysis the information provided is a new slant on practical and very useful application of those theories. Its one of the books in my financial library that I recommend as an absolute "must read".
