I have previously owned Sennheiser, Beats, Sony, etc head phones. Put quite simply, these Audio Technica, are the very best head phones I have ever owned. The depth in the music they reproduce is stunning, especially if you like bass. The 53mm cones produce bass notes that my other head phones do not pick up.
At first they seem a little tight , however, I have been reliably informed that they will become more comfortable with age, ( I have only had mine a couple of weeks.). Do not panic, as I did, when at first they do not seem to work properly. Check that you have installed the "one directional" cable / jacks correctly...!

I ordered this headphone on 8th of April 2011and this seller dispatched it on the 10th of April 2011.the parcel arrived in great condition and the headphone is working great.overall, the service is good and fast considering it was dispatched from Japan.there is just one thing that this seller need to improve, which is please do not use parcelforce as the courier.they are quite slow and they still charge the handling fee.please use other courier service.with PF, u'll need to keep tracking as frequent as possible.5 star to this seller for quick responds.thanks.

Great set of cans! 28 Nov 2013

These headphones sound as good as the reviews state (and they say its great). As I read reviews, the #1 issue is comfort. I anticipated and proactively resolved the issue by ordering a pair of M50 replacement ear pads to replace the Pro700mk2's thin/firmer pads. The difference is night and day. The headphones also needs a bit of stretching (like on a set of books approximately the width of your head) to reduce the 'vice' like grip. Just remember they were designed to be used in a loud club setting so having a good seal for the ear cups were a must.

If you're getting these as a consumer, make certain to purchase an extra set of M50 pads, or be prepared to modify your OEM pads to increase comfort. I use this to listen to music, watch movies, and play games. Overall would recommend to anyone who loves bass heavy headphones.
Totally worth the money 21 Jun 2014

Like almost everyone else I switched the pads out for some softer ones off my 40x's. I have a decent sized head and they are a little tight but as I tend to bop around the house they stay in place nicely. Although the 40x's sound great these 700Mk2's are quite the noticeable improvement. I listen to a wide variety of music types and these while being a bit bass heavy still have nice mids and highs. Currently I'm using a Fiio E11 amp(which I really like) and an iphone and I don't think that I can find a way to get it to sound any better than it does now due to the limits of the music files and my poor abused ears. As I said, totally worth the money.
Oh my what bass!Incredible headphones! 2 Jun 2014

I don't need to look any longer for "that sound". I found it with the ATH Pro 700 mk2! I am the owner of 4 set of headphones including HiFI Man He 400s which were my main headphones before the Pro 700s'. However move over HE 400s', Audio Technica is in town!Wow what clarity, The music pops out at you and every note is like high definition. The treble and mids are reproduced perfectly and by the way did I mention the bass. Absolutely wonderful with tremendous impact! These headphones come with 53 mm drivers. Yes 53MM. Which I'm sure accounts for that deep tight bass. By the way these are a great buy for the money.
It should be noted that I drive these with the FIIO E17 amp(not expensive) which has adjustments for treble mid, bass and gain and If you love music the way I do this is the way to go. Finally, comfort wise I would advise getting the ATH M50 replacement pads(they fit) and then your set for a musical experience.
