HASH(0x98232654) out of 5 stars disappointed 29 July 2011

I was looking for an easily adjustable rolling laptop cart. I guess that wasn't specific enough. The other reviewers are correct when they say it is top heavy, so you will definitely want to weight it down with something stored in the bottom storage area. I need to use the cart in my class room when I am standing or walking around. Although this cart will adjust to the height I need, it is not EASILY adjustable. It requires two hands to adjust (it uses tension screws, not a pneumatic tube). Today, the Friday before school starts, I attempted to adjust the cart height and discovered that the cheaply made plastic tension device on one side of the cart was broken. For this I spent $50 + shipping? Now I am off to the hardware store to get some kind of glue--can't have my laptop spilling onto the floor if the tension device releases on the broken side. Since the piece that broke is actually the tension device, it will no longer be adjustable. :-( I suppose I could contact the company for a replacement part, but I would have to wait for it to be sent to me and then I would have the same problem occur again later. May as well glue it now. Sad teacher.
My suggestion for the maker: metal tension devices would be a much better idea.

HASH(0x988f31f8) out of 5 stars No Complaints 19 April 2010

Item is light weight, inexpensive, moves easily, and does not take up much space. Only suggestion would be to put something heavy on the lower shelves to weigh it down. With the shelves empty and a laptop on top, it feels a little top-heavy and I worry that it might fall over. Easily converts from a standing height for presentations and lectures, to a perfect "desk-like" sitting height for teaching smaller classes and leading discussions.

HASH(0x9878127c) out of 5 stars Good product but... 30 Sept. 2010

I like the design and convenience of adjustable height, but it was quite a chore assembling it. Some of the pre-drilled holes for the screws were not exactly aligned, and I had some difficulty putting it together. Definitely set aside some time to do this or just find it somewhere pre-assembled. Also, the top area is somewhat small--I only have a netbook on it and a mousepad and there's hardly room for anything else! If using a larger laptop, I'd consider purchasing a different cart. Overall though, the product seems sturdy and meets my needs.

HASH(0x98232a74) out of 5 stars Impressive Value & Function 20 Sept. 2011
By Renae Sterling - Published on Amazon.com
This is still available in a woodgrain. I'm re-posting the same review here so that more people might find this cart. I like it that much~~~~
I purchased this 6 Mts. ago and it's exceeded my expectations. The price is unbeatable for all the features offered. No, it is not a Rolles-Royce, more a Volkswagon:

* The assembly was simple enough. The instructions are among the best I've used.
Note: I think the screw holes are designed to be narrow so that the threads will have more material to grip rather than strip out the hole. As I unpacked it I felt it was thoughtfully designed.

* Shelves are pretty cool. (I have about 45 lb. of books in them and another 15 lb. on the top). No, it does not hold every shape and size of book I own. Few bookcases are meant to.

* The metal quality is good enough and sturdy. The extenders easily tighten in place and have not slipped even when I've leaned on the top. They will scratch, of course, most do, but they are effective & provide height options which is my preference.

* Probably the 44" listed is the safest max. height (I prefer 41"), although lowest height listed is 35" the tray will actually go as low as 28" (including wheels) so keep that in mind. It would be a tall end-table if use for that purpose.

* Fully extended, the top feels a bit wobbly but it's sturdy enough ~this is not a solid wood podium. The fixtures are a bit flimsy but I am careful and I do not over tighten them. And perhaps, I happen to have the improved versions.

* The can roll smoothly over carpet without feeling like it might tip over and each wheel can be locked to keep it in place on a wood floor.

* It is reasonably easy to lift, pack away, and will fit in any car except the itty-bitty ones.

* The bottom and middle portions have good weight and balance. The bottom ledge could be used for a foot stand, that might be useful for some. Seriously, how could this "cart" be considered top heavy if all the weight is centered on the bottom? Wobbly yes, top-heavy, doubt it.

A "woodgrain" look should not to be mistaken for solid wood (the price, remember). Besides, the Product Features do not list wood but other materials. This is very practical stand and that appeals to me. It comes in black too, though I think I prefer my "orangish" Woodgrain.

I did cutout a piece of non-slip rug padding to put on the top shelf so that my laptop would be less likely to slide off. I do this on most flat surfaces.

I think listing this as a 'cart' is a disservice (searching that category is not productive nor are most searches under Stands, Lecterns, or Podiums). In other words, I stumbled over it and I'm glad I searched long enough to do so. I would suggest this as more descriptive:
"Versatile Laptop Cart, Podium, and/or Lectern with Shelves and Wheels by Techni Mobili."

That said, if you suspect that this multi-function cart/lectern/podium has features you didn't even know you were looking for, and you don't want to spend a lot to have them, I believe you will be happy with your purchase.

Again, duplicated post. Usually Amazon automatically does that for the same product list elsewhere, in this case it didn't.

HASH(0x98232c3c) out of 5 stars Stand up desk is fine if you are short. 5 Jun. 2013

I like the ease of assembly but you need to use your own screwdriver because the little one they give you will give you blisters because it is too small.

I've used this now for a few weeks and realize that for best ergonomics, I need my arms low to type but my head looking straight ahead. This desk doesn't allow you to do that. The first week, I had the level too high and my shoulders stressed by pushing them upward.
The next week, I lowered the desk for typing that was more comfortable, but then had to look down, stressing my neck. For the price, this desk works, but if you really want good ergonmics, then you need to put your display at eye level and your keyboard lower, closer to your waist. A co-worker helped me assemble it, you need some help in making sure the screws are in the right spot.
