If you like a good old fashioned British tear jerker, this is one for you. A great storyline, a plot that is well paced to unravel at an even rate, and good performances (especially Stone and Cazanove). get your hanky out for this one, it is realy quite touching. A great piece of early drama from one of Hollywoods greatest leading ladies to be. It comes from a period of 'no extras' and it's such a shame that the DVD transfer was not of better quality. It seems to me that, if I took an uneducated guess, this was a direct transfer from the original VHS. It has a 'grainy'and slightly unfocussed picture quality plus poor sound clarity in parts however, the film is so strong and engaging, once you are into it, you'll not notice its defects. Well worth the money and definitely a strong performance from a young Sharon Stone.
