new version is not the best teapot anymore 23 Jun 2009

I come from a country where people drink tea every hour. So having a good teapot is very important. So far, it appears this one is the best I've ever tried. It's really well designed. Doesn't spill; the tea leaves don't get into your cup. The lid doesn't fall. Size is good. I will be getting this teapot as a gift for my friends and relatives.

Follow up: This new version of the teapot is not as good as the original one. First, there is no stopper for the lid, so it can fall off. Second, the knob is tall and thin which makes it easy to break it when hit accidentally. And I like the shape of this new one less than the original one. That's too bad, because it looks like the original teapot is not available anymore. I won't buy it again.

A beautiful teapot 5 Nov 2007
By M. Meador - Published on Amazon.com
I usually use a black Sasaki teapot for my loose teas but about once a week I use my Daydream for blooming tea and the size and shape of this teapot is perfect to highlight the blossoms. If you are using it in the evening or in a low lit room make sure to purchase the Light My Fire warmer as a companion accessory. The glow from the tealight makes the blooms look great.

Great teapot 5 Dec 2009
By Amanda Zimmermann - Published on Amazon.com

This is a great 3-4 cup teapot. Well made, great pour from the spout with no drips, by far the best in-spout filter I've used. There are little raised squares on the handle, lid knob and the hook that keeps the lid on which I think is a great addition and helps hold on to the pot when it or my hands are damp. This is my third glass teapot (the other two I've had (and broken) were different pots from two different makers) and this one is my favorite by far. I would definitely get this one again (and will if and when I manage to shatter this one).

Update: It's now October 2014 and I've used this pot multiple times daily for five years. Such constant use of something is a surefire way to find out the less-than-perfect aspects of any product (or person). The only thing I can come up with is that the little metal strainer in the spout can be stretched out of shape. While not ideal, it can be bent back into shape to work just fine again. So yeah, that's my only complaint. And it is obviously not a big deal because I just bought this pot again after shattering my original one. (No worries, this pot isn't delicate. I dropped a mug on it from about one foot up. It's gotten plenty of accidental rough handling but having a 10-oz cup dropped on it was too much to ask.) Still love this little pot. Can't wait for my new one.

Teapot Saved My Life 15 Nov 2013

Size is good: teapot holds just the right amount (enough for about three mugs). Design is good: you can pour without drippy overflow and without losing the lid.

Best of all: I LOVE the ability to see the tea leaves float and eventually fall. Because of this, I've learned the secret to making my green tea with jasmine taste just right. It has to do with when I pour the water onto the leaves. Only if the water is almost ready to START boiling -- and not after coming DOWN from a boil -- do the tea leaves float. And only then does the tea taste just right! Maybe it's oxygen???

In the past I knew the flavor could be excellent one day and off the next. This glass teapot showed me why.

Fragile...but I love it! 21 Oct 2011

When you're pouring, be sure to hold onto the lid. Mine fell off and cracked. So, I immediately ordered a new one because I really like it. Holds a good 3 cups.
