Bought this to take on my boat. The first time I used it I was really pleased with the result, it cooked chicken portions to perfection, with the minimum of fuss and mess. However, when I took the lid off, the knob fell off and I just managed to catch the glass lid before it fell on to the floor and smashed.Turns out the knob is attached by a flimsy aluminium screw, which had sheared off at first use. I didn't send it back, as I didn't want the same thing to happen again, so my husband has now attached it properly. My question is- why don't the manufacturers feel that such a good product deserves better quality screws?

This is a really useful cooker. Versatile - I have fried, boiled and slow cooked in this. See thro lid is excellent. Doesn't take up much space and is easy to clean. Only problem could be that the thermostat is rather clunky - switches off and on and this can disrupt the cooking process when an even heat would be more useful. Wouldn't be without it now.

Once was you could pick up something like one of these in any cook shop/large Department Store kitchen department, but in these health concious days they are much harder to come across hence my getting mine via Amazon.

Until you've tried a thermostatically controlled frying pan it is difficult to understand just how useful they can be for frying when you get a bit more adventurous then the good old English 'fry-up'. However, for home made fish cakes, escalopes/schnitzels etc it takes all the guesswork out of the frying process. Mind you it's excellent for the fry-up as well.

It's also good for casserole type dishes which don't need the full "slow cooker/5 hours" in the oven approach.

Only problem with it is that it is quite a large piece of equipment and, if like me, you have lots of kitchen gadgets it's yet one more thing to find a home for.

Found this ideal for frying, especially if your quantities are large. Not so good for doing a casserole as it heats to temperature then switches off. Maybe I had the temperature set too high as I burnt the food slightly. Other than that it is ideal for what I wanted, to be able to fry large quantities without using too much fat.

Bought for use in the motorhome, when on hook up at sites to save gas, and not disappointed. They are a good price and do the job. Was originally seeking just a hotplate for fry-ups and such, but glad I went for this instead. It does the first job but can also be used for a lot of other meals.
There's only one small complaint, the thermostat only works properly when the lid is on and even then it's a bit hit and miss, basically full on or off. Others have said the same. It's something that can be worked around, mainly by keeping the setting close to high and only lifting the lid when stirring is required. It's a bit of a fiddle so if you can't be arsed with that maybe best to look for more upmarket model.

If you regularly stay on sites with electric hook-up with your caravan or motor-home why use your gas for cooking when you can cook all kinds of meals in this Multi-Cooker using electric you have all ready paid for. Quick, convenient and cleaner to use than your ordinary fry pan freeing up space on that small hob for other uses.Think of the gas you save. At the end of your trip in your caravan, take it home and use it there as well.

This multi cooker is great! I had wanted one for quite a while and the size and price were just right. It is ideal for so many dishes and I recently cooked a paella which was superbly easy. The only thing it does not cook properly is pancakes (the thick, fluffy kind), and I have to use a regular frying pan for these. Otherwise, an ideal addition to our kitchen.

For the price this is superb. It is both easy to use and to clean. I bought it basically for making omelettes but now having made my first omelette in it and fried some sausages I can see I'm gong to get a lot of use from it. Apart from when I am camping I hardly ever fry food - up until now! This will be as important in my kitchen as my microwave oven, my George Foreman grill, and my slow cooker. How did i manage without it?
