4.0 out of 5 stars It makes sense! 7 Oct 2012
Format:Paperback
This book is a joy to read: the simple setting out of potentially complex pschology as a strategy for personal and team motivation, communication and performance success.

Pad covers a wide range of topics to sufficient depth to encourage deeper experiential application and he deploys his NLP Sage appropriately. He balances and narrates well the dilemmas of unleashing and taming our Archetypes, and the benefits and pitfalls of mature and immature preferences. At the same time he invites the reader to value the difference - personally and professionally, as an individual and as a team member - of complementary opposites. To this as a credentialed coach I would add coach and coaching client or coach supervisor and coach partnerships.

Woven around a story, TEAM ME is easy to read and understand with examples drawn from popular and contemporary reference sources to illuminate points (I suspect some use of the Author's Mystic and Lover preferences at work here no doubt!) I would have liked just one fuller case study that showed how the Archetypes showed up over a period of time to add emphasis to the underlying principle of needing to call upon all six at differnt points in time for different situations.

As a coach, this is a worthy addition to my professional reading and a reminder that for me wo work in best service to my client, to be fully present, means to notice how I show up and my impact on my client. How can I encourage him or her to deepen their perspective on their session goal by supporting and challenging the reality and options available through all six Archetypes to determing the best way forward?

5.0 out of 5 stars The best guide to self-awareness! 1 Feb 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
After having read short overview, I was longing for this book to see the daylight. The Author is true mentor and I'm lucky to have had him in this capacity. Pad's personal coaching has helped me massively over this past year.
The book is rich in content and is written in an easy-to-understand language. You can be absolute amateur in this realm (like me), but after reading the book you might find yourself itching to explore the subject more.
Highly recommended!

P.S. Looking forward to see other follow up works.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very accessible, very applicable. 31 Jan 2012
By CJ
Format:Kindle Edition
Whilst I wouldn't normally have picked up a book of this kind, I was intrigued to discover how very evident these archetypes actually are in real-life. I particularly found helpful the explanations around the `Complementary Archetypes' and also their very distinctive `Shadow sides'. The `Oakenthor' story, as well as Pad's numerous case studies, really help to ground the theoretical models and make the concepts very accessible (even to someone who knows practically nothing about archetypes, Carl Jung or NLP). A stimulating read.
