5.0 out of 5 stars Great book to really understand English grammar in depth 6 Dec 2010

I studied Phonetics and Second Language Acquistion and this book really helped me out a lot.
Not only that, I taught English in Japan and this book had really good points to go over with my students.

I must admit, it leans a lot toward British English, but as long as you understand the differences, it's a great resource book.

For those who are thinking about teaching English abroad, it's a great book to better the quality of your lessons.
3.0 out of 5 stars Summarized 27 July 2010

Summarized book about the English Grammar. It provides dozens of insights of how ESL teachers should explain and guide students through English. It's written in a way that makes you think and rethink why you give such explanation concerning a certain topic and why not trying another approach. It worked for me for it gave lots of new approaches on many grammatical topics.
