Despite being only 220 pages long, the author seems to spend a lot of time saying the same things in different ways. He also gives too much commentry and common sense advise. Sentences like "It is important that the Exchange server is available during peak office hours." typify the ramble. The book also makes no mention of Exchange 2000 on the cover/back and yet writes as if every reader already knows the previous version.

I often tinker with new software and then buy a book if I'm wanting to know more. On this occasion I felt like the book added very little to what one morning of play had given me and yet I've heard enough about Exchange to know I've not yet scratched the surface.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not much here 20 Feb 2006
By S. Behrens - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Not a bad book but pretty light.

I guess that's what you get for 10 minutes.

Not enough depth for exchange administrators, too much background for occasional admins, not enough for certification.

I'm not really sure who this is intended for.

The exchange 24/7 and the book by William Boswell (I forget the name) get my two votes for required exchange 2k3 reading.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book was disappointing 6 July 2006
By Fast Learner - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I purchased this book because it claimed to be for beginners; however, it assumes to much prior knowledge in its explanations, and its instructions do not coordinate with the actual function of the software.
