I had nothing to do this evening and therefore I started to look through my library. I was recently asked by a 'foreign' friend to correct her friend's grammar and so my mind was steered towards this book. I had not read it for some 10 years or so. I can't say that I love the book enough to pay the current new price on Amazon of £68 - especially as I am anticipating buying the second copy for said friend as a gift - but, price aside, in a figurative way - the book is 'priceless', a gem amongst gems. There aren't many books which are more important than concentrating on a decent lager in the local pub - but, tonight, the book certainly won my attention more than the lager did.
