This is a repurchase of a copy I lost. I was one of those people who was slightly intimidated by my lake of knowledge of wine, this book was he first wine book I ever bought, the first of many, it is easy to read, and accessible, I was thrilled that so much of it was retainable that even before I had finished reading it I successfully identified several grape varieties on a blind tasting, something I never dreamed i would be able to do.

this is a fantastic book. Unless you know all there is to know about wine, this book is for you. It takes you through tasting and identifying wine to how to pick a bottle in a shop based on the label.
definitely recommended.
